The Waterfall Day

Darned if I can remember the name of these little devils but they were quite tasty. A little bit tart with a fairly large seed. ... And this is their tree. It was in Anatoliy and Elice's front yard right beside the banana palm. These are the 'across the street neighbours' with several of the noisy dogs. Hardy people these Brazilians, out there in the pouring rain playing volleyball. I guess when it's raining you don't notice the humidity??? Out for a drive in the hills with C&K one day and came across this bird nest built on a cross in front of a small church. Boy, talk about easy to please - just give him a can of beer, a GPS, a sunny day and he's totally content!
BUT, where is he ...? ... well, we came across this entrance way to something ... ... a nice little swimming hole - luckily we all brought our bathing suits! I wonder how fresh the water is? They don't come much fresher! I wonder how warm it is? Now, that tells a story! Yep, this tells a story too! 'Not bad once you get used to it.', he says, with hardly a grimace! Best bet is to just dive right in! She didn't dive right in but she's in and totally enjoying it - can't you tell by the expression? Some people needed a little more encouragement. Can't tell if he fell asleep or he's just frozen in that position! Actually it wasn't bad at all as you can see by the pleasant smiles and the fact that it isn't Ted that's taking the picture! Somebody was really quick to get out and grab the camera. We came, we saw, we conquered! This has become a favourite spot for C&K now, it's quite close to their place and there's never anybody else there. Karen had mentioned that she thought that something had been nibbling on her. We found out what it was when Chris threw a small piece of a cookie into the pool. The water just boiled, so we relaxed and fed them for a while. I have no idea why but for some reason this little brown bug reminds me of this. Click on the bug. After the waterfall we went on exploring and found several things of interest, these flowers being some of them as ... ... they were situated on the property around this nice little 'fixer-upper'. It appeared to be complete with this garden tractor, which I suppose could also be used as a main source of transportation - given the condition of the road to the property. There was a gorgeous little stream which could be a year round source of water and it was also the source of the waterfall. Elaine was examining the out building, which was also in need of a bit of repair. The flora would make it all worthwhile as evidenced by these pictures ... ... need I say more! And what would a 'farm' be if it didn't have a stable and a source of raising your own organic food... Like they say - 'A face only a mother could love'. Cute, eh? Oops, and it even included some little 'oinkers' as well.!!! Stay tuned for the next installment.
